Duration of oral presentations. Normal oral presentations have 15-minute time slots, with 12 minutes dedicated to the presentation and 3 minutes for discussion.
Do not exceed your time. To facilitate room transitions between presentations and sessions, session chairs are requested to maintain strict time management.
Duration of Keynotes. Keynote presentations are limited to 35 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes allocated for discussion.
Use Windows files. The conference rooms are equipped with a projector, a pointer and a computer running Windows (only Windows). It will not be possible to use your own computer. You may use presentations in PowerPoint format, but if your presentation does not contain animations, it is often advisable to export it to PDF format and utilize the PDF version.
Submission of presentation file. Kindly submit your presentation on a USB memory stick to the staff at the registration desk when you register. If this is not feasible, please submit it no later than the afternoon preceding the scheduled presentation day.
Naming your file. Utilize the following naming format for your presentation file:
SessionNumber_TalkNumber_LastNamePresenter (e.g. S3_T07_Smith. ppt). Find the number of your talk in the detailed scientific programme available in the beginning of February on the conference website.
Checking your presentation. If necessary, inquire at the desk for access to a computer to check if your presentation is functioning correctly. To minimize potential incompatibilities between software versions, we recommend limiting the use of animations and employing common Windows fonts and symbols for text and equations.
Arrive to room 10 minutes in advance. Please ensure you arrive at your session room at least 10 minutes before its scheduled start. This will provide sufficient time for you to meet and coordinate with your session chair and familiarize yourself with the equipment in your session room.
